To the THOUSANDS of you who have asked, I'm back

Ok, so nobody has asked why I haven't posted in the last week. Nonetheless, it's something to think about - if this were even remotely interesting, there could be THOUSANDS of people who would clamor for more fascinating pearls of wisdom, insight, and generally riveting morsels of literature.

Here's the story...last Saturday, I did 8 on the treadmill. It wasn't a hard 8, just 8. That night, my knee/IT-Band began to really give me trouble. I was scheduled for a LONG run on Sunday but decided to rest and try to get the leg back in shape. There is no question that I could have done it but at what cost? So it was "lay-off-for-a-while-fool". I spent the rest of the week on the elliptical for periods of between 60 and 90 minutes at various exertion levels. Finally, I couldn't stand it any more so I did 4 easy miles on the treadmill on Friday. Truthfully, I was worried about being able to complete the 10K that I had entered on Sunday. While my knee was sore afterward, I knew I could run. The only question was speed.

That's the story!
