As good as things are here, Sara continues to struggle with her plantar fasciitis. Apparently, she has been having problems with her foot for some time. She and Pat (along with Jacob and Sandy) are planning to join me in July to run the Rock and Roll Half Marathon. I only hope that this doesn't set her back so far that she isn't able to run.
I signed up for (and more importantly, paid for) the Running with the Cows Half Marathon (http://www.halfmarathons.net/usa_half_marathons_kansas_running_with_the_cows_half_marathon.html) in Bucyrus, KS on May 12. It looks like a nice local race, without a zillion competitors, along some of the same roads where Mike Slade and I ride our motorcycles (read "out in the middle of almost nowhere"). The timing is good as I should be ready for a 13 miler (training run) at that time. It gives me something to look forward to and have another reason for training.
