Took yesterday off

Woke up and my legs felt like lead, sore and achy (sp?). Amazingly enough, I decided to take the day off from my elliptical droning. Quite honestly, I didn't feel too bad about it. Rational thought overcame me and I am beginning to realize that rest is not only good for me but actually reinvigorating. Kind of makes me a bit more hungry to run.

Today is rainy and windy with the temperature in the 40s. I had planned to go a mile or so outside but that doesn't look promising. I know - that's longer than the 5-6 minutes I promised you. So maybe it wouldn't have been a mile....After NOT running for almost 2 months due to injury, the last thing I want to do is get re-injured. SOOOOOOO, I am going to stick to my guns, not get excited, and relax. Right. We'll see.

For you computer geeks out there, I added Google Analytics to the blog, allowing me to see the number of hits that this web site gets, along with a whole bunch of other (confusing) information. I'll let you know when we get some history. This blog is an outlet for my inner writer and has never been meant to appeal to anyone but me. That being said, it is interesting to see how many people actually read this drivel.

For those of you reading, leave me a message. Who are you? Are you a runner? Why are you reading? Anything you to know? Don't worry, I won't divulge anything that I don't want to!
