He's Baaaaaack

After a really crappy winter running season, I'm back at it.  Here's the long and short of why it has been so long since my last post:

  • crappy weather here in Kansas (a lousy excuse)
  • strained Achilles took me off the roads from about mid-November until last week (lousy excuse #2)
  • my life got suddenly demanding - in December, I was named to a temporary school board position (while true, lousy excuse #3)
  • I got "writing lazy" (lousy excuse #4 but true)
The only reason I haven't posted is laziness.  Frankly, I'm not sure who I'm doing this for, but since I ventured back out on the road last week for the first time all winter, I thought I'd start writing again and see if there are any readers.  If not, I'll probably close the blog for lack of outside interest.

Now, for a couple of asides...

If you are interested in my (haha) political career, feel free to visit http://midwestdemocracyproject.org/elections/KS/school-district/blue-valley-school-district/2011-04-05/ to find out all there is about the election for the Blue Valley School District Board of Education.  I am running unopposed for the unexpired term (2 years) of one of the board members who resigned.  I also created a (admittedly, very weak) website, in case I was opposed in the election.  I don't have any plans to do much with it at the moment but if you are at all interested (why?), http://mikeseitz.net/  is the link.  Trust me, it's not much to look at.

Heps track has a great website - http://hepstrack.com/.  It's not connected to the Ivy League in any way but contains some great information about what is going on in track in the Ivy League.

Finally, with the spring almost here, it's almost Penn Relays time.  Try this one - http://thepennrelays.com/.

More later.  Thanks for reading.
