I've had, believe it or not, a number of requests to see the x-rays of my collarbone, along with pictures of the scar. I hesitate to post the scar but I will post the x-rays at the end of this post.
First, thanks to all of you who have wished me good luck, wished me a speedy recovery, told me that I should always wear a helmet, tried to convince me to stay in the house, made fun of my inability to walk and chew gum, and renamed me Dudley Frank.
I also want to say thank you for the cards, flowers, chocolates and prayers. Finally, a giant thank-you to my wife, Deb, for trying to take care of a really lousy impatient patient. I have to admit, if it weren't for Deb, I would be running in the 44 mile Brew-to-Brew Relay (Kansas City to Lawrence Kansas) this weekend. I appreciate her chiding to relax.
Finally, to Dr. Cris Barnthouse, for putting Humpty back together again.
Stitches come out Monday and I will get back on the elliptical Tuesday. Running will commence when, as Dr. Barnthouse put it, when I'm ready.
Here is the x-ray, for your viewing pleasure.
