In case you can't tell from title of this post, I had some good news from the doc yesterday regarding the collarbone and returning to activity.
In a nutshell, he removed the 25 or so staples in my shoulder and said 1) I can return to exercise immediately - stationary bike or elliptical, 2) I can return to running within 2 weeks, and 3) I can return to umpiring at about the same time I return to running. All good news. I feel good with the stitches out with little pain or discomfort as a result of the injury or operation. I am keeping my movement in check for a while, per his and Deb's request, but things feel good.
So today I return to the elliptical! It has been 3 weeks since the accident and just as long since I did anything resembling serious physical activity. That obviously means that I should take it a little easy for the beginning...take it easy...take it easy...take it easy...
