"I used to be somebody, now I'm somebody else"

That's the first line from the first song in a new Jeff Bridges movie, Crazy Heart. The movie plot is inconsequential. What is interesting is the line itself. Now, I'm not going to go all philosophical on you here but it does kind of describe the different stages we all go through. Be honest, dear reader (if there are any) - are you the same person you were back in the day? Of course not. No soul bearing here, just the recognition that we all change, sometimes into someone we want to be and sometimes into someone we'd rather not be. Me? I'd like to think that time has morphed me into someone I can be proud of, albeit with enough warts to warrant a good dose of humility and continued need to improve.

Whew, that's a load at 8am.
